What if I’ve never created video or photo before?

That’s ok “we got you!” While some experience will help, the workshop is designed so that you learn the essentials of video in a safe, fun and supportive learning environment. The workshop is designed to build on any prior knowledge and stack your skills with each lesson.

Do I need a camera? Can I bring my own?

The best camera is the one you have on you!

Please bring your smartphone, and if you would like to bring a specific camera you are more than welcome.

We use phone camera’s throughout the workshop for practical learning and fast application. However If you have a dedicated camera that you would like to bring and get familiar with then you are more than welcome to do so.

Please note; You are responsible for your own belongings and the workshop is not liable for any loss or damage.

Do I need a Laptop? Should I install Final Cut Pro X?

A laptop will greatly improve your editing experience but it’s not essential. Past students have used their phone.

Demonstrations will be on Apple Final Cut Pro X “FCPX” and Capcut and VN for mobile.

If you wish to install FCPX onto your computer before the workshop you will be using the same editor as Bryan. *not essential

If you already edit in Premier Pro or Davinci Resolve you will be able to follow along the edit session and apply the techniques as you go.
